8th Grade Math
The 8th grade math curriculum is based off of I-Ready Mathematics. Students will start with Geometry, including transformations and The Pythagorean Theorem, then move to algebraic equations and linear relationships, and finish the year with exponents and some statistics. The PIs that we will cover are as follows:
Geometry
MS13B: Angle Measure, Area, Surface Area, and Volume
Ratios and Proportions
MS11C: Proportional Relationships and Linear Equations
The Number System
MS14C: Rational Numbers and the Number System
MS14D: Irrational Numbers
Algebraic Expressions
MS11A: Solve Equations, Exponents and Radicals
MS11B: Expressions, Equations, and Inequalities
Statistics
MS12A: Random Sampling
MS12B: Investigate Bivariate Data
MS12D: Represent and Interpret Data
